Welcome to
Pilothouse Charters Sport fishing. Come join Capt. David Iovanna and
mate aboard the fishing vessel Tip-N-Ring for a fishing
excursion of a lifetime. Hailing from Plymouth, Massachusetts the
Capt. and mate have one goal: We want you to have a safe and
exciting day on
the water!
Catering to groups of (4) four people we can provide plenty of
fishing action for everyone, unlike the big party boats. The boat
runs from the beginning of April to the end of October to provide a long
fishing season for those true diehard fisherman. Be sure to bring
along a camera.
Cod fish and
Haddock charters run year round from our docks in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Ground fishing for cod and haddock out on Stellwagen Bank and beyond is a
New England fishing tradition and way of life. We use our powerful
sonar and fish finder to locate large schools of fish, and track their
location throughout the day. Your mate for the day can fillet and
prepare fresh caught cod or haddock for you to bring home and enjoy.
Our cod and haddock charters run 8 hours.
By the
second or third week of June large schools of bluefish show up on
Stellwagen Bank, and are readily caught at this time. That is where we
will take our charter parties. Very exciting and tons of fun!!
The tuna
fish
tend to take over Stellwagen Bank shortly after they arrive. They will eat
striped bass, and the stripers leave Stellwagen Bank and head for inshore
areas.
The season
for striped bass (Stripers) fishing aboard the Tip-N-Ring
begins sometime towards the end of June or the beginning of July. We will
troll out near Provincetown and the Billingsgate Shoals area which is very
productive at this time.
